Anna Glowinski took victory in the 2012 Schwalbe Fixed Gear Longest Skid Competition with a skid in excess of 60m - a feat even more remarkable by the fact that she had only learnt to skid that morning!
THE COMPETITION
A race like no other. The Schwalbe Fixed Gear Longest Skid Competition will feature city fixed gear riders attempting to perform the longest 'back-wheel lock', watched and measured by the eagle-eyed Nocturne Series judges.
Competitors will complete a warm up lap, before using their skill and experience in the city to skid their wheel for as long as possible. Strictly no brakes allowed.
The winner will receive a bottle of Champagne and pair of Schwalbe Durano Skid tyres (see below).
Competitors need to have a fixed wheel bike, and be pretty damn good on it. If you are, and fancy a slightly different challenge, fill in the form below and we'll get back with details. Entry is free.
