JUPITER LONDON NOCTURNE 2014
The 2014 Jupiter London Nocturne on Saturday 7th June will be the eighth edition of Britain's biggest and best night-time bike race.
The Jupiter London Nocturne is the biggest and best night-time criterium in the UK
Racing begins at 4pm with the IMImobile Folding Bike Race (Heat 1) - top of the bill at 9.30pm is the Schwalbe Elite Men's Criterium.
Folding Bikes, Penny Farthings and for the first time in 2014, Barclays Cycle Hire bikes will all race around the technical 1.1km circuit at iconic Smithfield Market in the heart of the City of London.
For the first time we'll have our own beer tent, alongside the expo area and the big screen on the south side of the market.
In the Schwalbe Elite Men's Criterium, Garmin Sharp duo Tyler Farrar and Nathan Haas will be up against rivals from Team Sky, Rapha Condor JLT, Madison Genesis, NFTO Pro Cycling and more.
World track champion Katie Archibald will lead the charge for Pearl Izumi Sports Tours International in the Elite Women's Criterium.
In the inaugural Barclays Cycle Hire Race, Rough Copy (X Factor), Andy Samuels, Jeanette Kwakye and Jade Avia will all compete, along with BBC 5Live Bespoke presenter OJ Borg.
The Condor Track Bike Criterium features a strong field, with four Team Cinelli Chrome riders coming from Italy. In the Brooks Retro Criterium, you'll see bikes produced before 1987 for a real retro feel.
The Ignitr City Criterium will see tech companies and city firms going head-to-head.
Meanwhile, the Leigh Day Kermesse for high-level amateur riders was massively over-subscribed - the 70 who were selected are sure to put on a show.
Look out for the programme sellers - the Rouleur-produced programme costs just £4 and is packed with all the info you need on the event - plus interviews with Nathan Haas (Garmin-Sharp), Josh Edmondson (Team Sky), Katie Archibald (Pearl Izumi) and last year's victor in the Elite Men's Criterium, Tom Scully (Madison Genesis).
